The challenge

A confidential search for digital leadership.

Structural change created a highly confidential requirement for a talented VP of Ecommerce to lead Crocs' owned online channels alongside digital wholesale and marketplaces.

A best-in-class operator was required, with a proven record of building and growing the digital channel across all formats, ideally with footwear experience. The role was based in Hoofddorp, Netherlands, with relocation required for candidates outside commuting distance.

The solution and process

Specialist reach, handled discreetly.

We took full briefings from the SVP of Digital and the SVP of EMEALA to understand the requirements and the type of leader needed, then built a full job description and a visual candidate brand and attraction pack.

As a global footwear and lifestyle specialist with strong digital recruiting experience, we were able to propose specific candidate profiles and target brands at briefing. We then created a thorough map of target candidates across the EMEA market, as well as globally based candidates with prior EMEA experience.

With full non-disclosure provisions in place, we delivered a shortlist of talented individuals who were all qualified for the role and a strong cultural fit for the Crocs organisation.

The outcome

One shortlist, two appointments.

After a rigorous assessment process involving key stakeholders, a VP of Ecommerce EMEALA was appointed.

Six months on, a second candidate from the same shortlist was appointed into another role within the business.

The result
One shortlist strong enough to fill two roles.

Facing a similar brief?

When a shortlist is genuinely strong, its value outlasts the brief it was built for.
